SRISD Elections
Sam Rayburn ISD School Board members are elected for four-year terms with elections conducted biennially on the November uniform election date. During election years, candidates interested in filing an application for a place on the ballot can file their application the 30th day before the filing deadline. The filing deadline is 4:00 PM on the 78th day before the election.
A Sam Rayburn ISD School Board Election will be held on Election Day, Tuesday, November 3, 2026. Three positions are scheduled to be on the ballot: Brian Eaves, Chris Flippo, and Drew Farris. School board applications will be available in our Business Office from Monday, July 20, through August 17, 2026, at 4:00 PM. Applications packets can be picked up and/or turned in during the following business hours:
July 20-30: Monday – Thursday, 8AM-4PM
August 3-17: Monday – Friday, 8AM-4PM

To register to vote, please call Fannin County Elections Department at 903-583-7488. To verify your registration status or for more information, you can also visit their webage by clicking here. When available, early voting and Election Day voting information (hours, days, and locations) will be published below.

- The next election will be held on in November 3, 2026.
- Requirements and deadlines to file for candidacy:
- Candidates are required to apply for a place on the ballot in writing. The candidate application must be signed and notarized. Our Business Office Manager, Tracie Ivey, is a notary and can notarize the application for all applicants.
- Candidate packets will not be available until the first day of filing, which is July 20, 2026. Packets will be available in the Business Office, 9363 E FM 273 Ivanhoe, TX 75447.
- Candidates must meet the eligibility requirements for public office (141.001, TEC) in order to run for office. See “Qualifications/Eligibility” section above for links that list all eligibility requirements.
- The deadline for filing an application for a place on the ballot is 4 PM on the 78th day before the election, which is August 17, 2026.
- Applications may be delivered in the following ways: in person during regular business hours, by mail, or by email to dustin.evans@srisd.org. If you send the application by mail, please call SRISD Business Office Manager, Tracie Ivey, at 903-664-2255, to confirm receipt.
